Forsaken will bring about some key changes to matchmaking — including Guided Games — as well as a shakeup to the clan rewards structure. Bungie has revealed a couple of decent upgrades the matchmaking and Guided Games experience in Destiny 2 will be getting with Forsaken. There are some exceptions to this, like lopsided PvP matches, or ones that ended with a mercy rule. In both cases, teams will be scrambled as they currently do. Competitive PvP teams will also be disbanded regardless.

Players who disconnect from a Guided Game will be allowed to reconnect, so long as the activity is still going. Players have up to three minutes to jump back in, after which the host will be able to find a different player to fill the spot. This also works in raids.

More interestingly, raid players will be able to save their raid checkpoints out of Guided Games. In other words, if the entire team disconnects in the middle of a Guided Games raid, you can form up another fireteam and start at where you left off. On the subject of social activities, Bungie is also placing more emphasis on clans and clan goals this time around.

You can specify that you want to grind for the catalysts or nightfall gear etc etc. I do agree that the game needs it and I hate the fact that these simple things aren't in game like we have to tab out etc.

Welcome to Reddit,

Also, clan chat pc when? Almost two expansions and noe one person will run a quest with me. But nah too hard. I dont get it, i have never waited more than 5 or 10 minutes to get into whatever activity i wanted.

This includes first time raids even. All the lfg platforms work well, and generally the destiny community is very welcoming and helpful. They noticed i hadnt completed rat king quest and spent the next 2 hours doing it with me, and they enjoyed it! Such are methods from the beginning of the internet. We have and there should be better methods to get matches started other games for some reason manage to provide proper match making to the players.

I am not saying that it is impossible to find teams using apps or websites Most certainly much more players would get into endgame activities or at least into the higher difficult activities if the process of getting them started isnt that complicated. Forcing players to alt-tab to browsers or to use mobile devices is definitely not a modern gameplay standard. Bungie will die by their sword on that one. Their stubbornness is unrivalled when it comes to MM.

My friends stopped playing destiny cause of these decisions. Yes, there are ways to find people to join you but ultimately, I should never have to leave my game to do anything. Bungie, when it comes to this, are simply incompetent. Even for the harder game modes match making would work. Player could set up conditions e. That would allow to match based on specific criteria and achievements. And the die hard ones still could do their activities on pre-made teams if they want to.

Yes but my way is simpler, just give them the option to not get matched with randoms.

Like that people who prefer LFG can keep doing that without any fear of being matched with randoms and we can use a god damn MM system. Get a clan or use lfg and quit bitching, it's not hard. There is no reason you should miss milestones. I have 1 friend that plays the game and he's rarely on, but somehow I have people to play with everyday, hmm wonder how.

Have bungo ever expldined why they decided to go with that dumpster fire instead of regular matchmaking? It is one of those weird things people believe. There's this myth that if I go onto a site like LFG that I will only find great players and great people who are awesome. It is something that gets repeated so often that people start to believe it. Meanwhile, heroic strikes have matchmaking and it works great.

I rarely run into problem people and the only real issue is AFKers and that is easy to deal with - just quit. I have never understood why I should waste minutes messaging people in order to run an activity that takes minutes to complete.

Honestly I think it keeps the elitists happy as it keeps us "casuals" from farming the nightfall rewards. They need to stop pretending nightfalls are these uber high level endgame activities. I can grab 2 randoms at power and run it no problem without ever turning my mic on. It's junk on the PC..
